A Leithaberg DAC red can only be produced from the Blaufränkisch grape. It is the top red varietal of our region and to be labelled Leithaberg DAC it must reflect the unique characteristics that typify the region. A Blaufränkisch from our region on the Leithaberg has an elegant, mineral almost herbacious character. Further south in Mittelburenland they are usually more sturdy and heavier in tannins. This wine ages well, it is delicate and as exciting as its unique origin.
