Pinot Noir 2022

Dry | 0.75L

If there is an odd silence in the house you can be guaranteed that Mrs H is curled up on the sofa lost in a book with a glass of our Pinot Noir by her side! This is an elegant, tantalising classic. Pinot Noir is a grape that is chiefly associated with Burgundy and was brought to our region in Burgenland by the Cistercian monks over 800 years ago. The grapes have thin skins and low levels of phenolic compounds and produce light coloured, lighter bodied and low tannin wines. Pinot Noir is a versatile wine and a great choice should you be pairing it with a mix of dishes.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Ruby red with tinges of ochre
Nose: Aromas of oranges, herbs and tobacco leaves
Palate: A silky, aromatic and long finish
Food pairing: Pinot Noir is a versatile wine and a great choice at a restaurant should you have chosen meat and your guest fish. Classic pairings include chanterelles, lamb and duck but try pâté, grilled asparagus, charcuterie and anything with a mustard sauce!
