Granted – our famous vineyard the Kirchberg, which was first planted by Cistercian monks in 1203, and the Eurovision Song Context are not phrases that commonly belong in the same sentence.
But there you have it. To our complete surprise this famous Hoepler site was featured in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest! This is the vineyard that produces our famous K7, Gruener Veltliner and Blaufraenkisch single vineyard wines.
The short clip shows the views over Lake Neusiedl, along the edge of the vineyard to the Wander Betoni statue ‘The Sonanbieter’ (The Sun worshiper) on the crescent of the hill. It was the postcard introduction to the Austrian Song!
We suspect there is a significant chance the vineyard will stand the test of time better than the song and most importantly you can drink these views – so check out our wines
