Pinot Noir, 2007

Dark red burgundy with characteristically fine strains of marzipan and wild berries. A refined, velvet elegance defines this wine as an excellent representative of the variety.

Pinot Noir presents a unique test for the soil, climate and the winegrower. The wine ripens on the east slopes of the Leitha hills, the perfect environment to achieve the best quality.

Most pleasurable when enjoyed with lightly fried chanterelles or delicacies with duck.

Pinot Noir - our peewee

Zweigelt, 2007

The Zweigelt is the most widely planted red variety in Austria. By crossing Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent (two other typical Austrian varieties), Dr. Zweigelt created a new wine. Dark ruby red with tinges of purple, delicate cherry aromas. Some aging in Barrique wood imparts spicy character on the palate with a red berry finish.

Well suited to kidneys and roast beef.

Blaufränkisch, 2007

Blaufränkisch is the principal red wine variety cultivated in Burgenland. A very versatile red wine for many occasions. Ruby red, bouquet of cherries with hints of dried prunes. Fruity and round on the palate.

This Blaufränkisch is particularly appropriate for light pasta dishes.

"Julia" Blaufränkisch Organic, 2007

A healthy lifestyle, increased awareness of your body and organic nutrition are becoming more significant in our lives. This development is also reflected in wine.

Together with Dr. Rainer Kiss – a doctor and longstanding organic wine producer from Halbturn – the organic wine Blaufränkisch "Julia" has been produced. It not only meets the organic wine guidelines but also the high quality standards of the Wine Estate Höpler.

"Julia" Blaufränkisch 2007: Medium ruby garnet. Aromas of red berries. On the palate elegant, fresh, with a red forest fruit finish.

Blaufränkisch Barrique, 2000

Garnet in colour, subtle blackberry and plum aromas; velvety and dense on the palate, with elegant character. Grown in sandy clay, and matured in small French barrique casks.

Blaufränkisch Barrique is an excellent companion to terrines, mushroom dishes, tripe and roast beef.

»Erwein« St. Laurent, 2007

For many generations, “Erwein” has been the name of the son and heir of the Höpler family.

“Erwein” is dark ruby red, with aromas of plum and vanilla, full-bodied with supple texture, following through to a lingering finish with a light coffee note.

Erwein is a wonderful companion to meat such as deer, venison, beef and wild-boar as well as fine hard cheese.

"K7" Cuvée, 2007
The Syrah, Blaufränkisch and Merlot varieties were selected to appeal to a modern, young and cosmopolitan palate. The red wine cuvée K7 is fruity and earthy like a Syrah, full-bodied and full of character like a Blaufränkisch, and compliant like a Cabernet. The K7 cuvée is a delight to drink and will provide the wine connoisseur with pleasure every day.

“The K7 is everyday wine consumption of the highest quality. The cuvée’s red wines were diligently matured for over 8 months in Barrique and entice further discovery of its composition.”

The red wine cuvée K7 is already available in high-class Austrian restaurants. The label design, the style of wine and the innovative glass closure are in perfect unison, and will impress both caterers and consumers alike.

Cabernet-Merlot, 2004

Garnet ruby red blend of two exquisite Bordeaux varietals: elegant fruit and vanilla scents from maturation in small oak barrels. Spicy palate of dark berries, tender chocolaty finish.

Cabernet-Merlot is an exceptional accompaniment to game and feathered game, sautéed beef dishes as well as Brie.

"Third Man" Zweigelt, 2004

“The Third Man” by Graham Green and film by Carol Reed’s are permanent fixtures in the literature and film world. To celebrate the presentation of the book ”The Third Man’s Vienna” and the opening of the “Third Man Museum”, a “Third man” wine was launched. The label depicts Holly Martin on the heels of Harry Lime in Vienna’s Judengasse.

This wine is an artistic synthesis of aromas and flavours: Matured in oak barrels, it glides across the palate with red berries pushing through on the finish. A worthy companion for a trip into the underworld…
